Stop beating yourself up!
It’s just a waste of time – time that you could use to make a difference in someone else’s life.
While you are in this state of mind, you won’t make an impact on anyone, including yourself.
Yes, we all have screwed up before.
Simply get over it and start doing what you can with what you have.
You can’t change the past, it’s DONE.
But you can choose to show up differently with the time you have.
Here are five simple tips to stop beating yourself up
#1 Practice Kindness to Yourself – Don’t say anything to yourself which you wouldn’t say to a loved one.
#2 Stop Comparing Yourself to Others – There’s always going to be someone better than you at something. Don’t compare your starting point with someone else’s finishing line.
#3 Focus on the Positive – Make the conscious effort to stop putting yourself down. Acknowledge your achievements, no matter how small and make a list with at least five of them.
#4 Tink of Mistakes as Opportunities – Babies learn to walk by falling down many times. They won’t give up because of that, instead, they learn from their mistakes until successful.
#5 Be Patient With Yourself – It takes time to correct harmful habits. Give yourself credit for the considerable effort it takes to change and for doing the work.
